SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

MEMORIAL Scholarship

Senior students from South Kingstown High School and The Prout School, who reside in South Kingstown, RI, and best exemplify Matthew’s qualities and commitment to academic excellence and community service are encouraged to apply for a $2,000 college scholarship.

PAYING IT FORWARD WITH SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS

In June 2026, the Matthew Sheehan Memorial Foundation had the honor of awarding three college scholarships in Matthew’s memory. Recipients were chosen from a field of applicants who demonstrate academic achievement and exemplify how small acts of humility, kindness, and patience can make a big impact on those around us.


Congratulations to Madison Improta and Mia Fagan from South Kingstown High School, and Addison Daigle from The Prout School. These outstanding students were selected for a 2026 Matthew Sheehan Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $2,000.


We are proud of this year’s recipients and know they will carry on Matthew’s legacy by compassionately serving others in their future.
